Thank you for using the CardiaCare app. This privacy policy clearly explains what data the app processes and how.

Data Collected CardiaCare is a fully local-first app. The app stores the following data only on your device: • Pet profile information (name, species, date of birth, photo, weight, notes) • Respiratory counter measurements and history • Medication records, dose schedules, and dose history • Mood journal entries and photos • Clinic appointment records • Medical archive files (PDFs and photos)

  2. Data Sharing CardiaCare does not share any personal or pet-related medical data with third parties, send your personal files to external servers, or store them in the cloud.

    Analytics and App Improvement (Mixpanel)

    To improve app performance, user experience, and diagnose technical issues, CardiaCare uses Mixpanel analytics service. The data collected through Mixpanel includes usage statistics (e.g., features used, session counts) and basic technical info (e.g., device model, OS version).

    This data is strictly anonymous, is NOT linked to your identity or your pet's identity, and is NEVER used for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

  3. Notifications The app uses your operating system’s local notification infrastructure for medication dose reminders, low-stock alerts, and clinic appointment notifications. These notifications are processed only on your device and are not transmitted to any external system.

  4. Device Security and Backups Because all your data is stored on your device, you are solely responsible for your device’s security and backing up your data. Uninstalling the app may permanently delete data; platform-specific behavior may apply.

  5. Children’s Privacy CardiaCare is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from this age group.

  6. Policy Changes This policy may be updated when necessary. If there are significant changes, you will be informed within the app.
